Is this for buying and selling?
No. Local Trade Garden is built for cash-free local trades. There is no checkout, payment layer or crypto.
What does 'If you made it, you trade it' mean?
It means this site is for things that came from your hands, work, land, skill or care. Made, grown, raised, repaired, taught, cooked, built or earned through honest labor.
What can I trade?
You can trade handmade goods, homegrown food, meat, eggs, honey, tools, repairs, skills, lessons, local labor and earth-friendly goods where legal and properly handled.
Can I trade meat, eggs or honey?
Only where legal and only when properly handled. The person posting and trading the item is responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply.
Can I trade wine or brews?
Only where legal and only for users of legal age. Users are responsible for following all applicable laws.
What rules apply to trades?
All trades must follow local, state and federal laws. Users are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to their goods, services, food handling, labeling, alcohol, livestock, meat, honey, eggs and any other regulated item. Local Trade Garden does not approve, inspect, guarantee, broker or become a party to any trade.
Does the site verify food safety?
No. Local Trade Garden does not inspect goods, verify food safety or guarantee any trade. Users are responsible for food handling, labeling, storage and local rules.
Who is responsible for following the law?
Users are. All trades must follow local, state and federal laws. This site is a connection tool, not a broker, legal advisor or party to any trade.
Will my address be shown?
The product is designed around general location. Do not post exact public addresses. Meet safely and use common sense.
Is this a live app yet?
Not yet. Local Trade Garden is an early access local pilot. The site is collecting interest and shaping the first local pilot group.
How is Local Trade Garden different from Facebook Marketplace?
Local Trade Garden is not built for random resale listings or cash-first selling. It is focused on cash-free local trades for things made, grown, raised, repaired, taught or earned through honest work.
